Congratulations! You are in law
school. Getting to this point is an accomplishment in itself. Now, here
comes the hard part and the honest truth about the study of law. Aside from
being time consuming, it is not enough preparation to read the case books
all year, brief all the assignments and then expect to pass your finals and
ultimately the bar examination. A better use of time is to obtain a handle
on the law early on and then start applying it to as many practice
examinations as possible. Knowing the law is important but being able to
apply it to examinations is everything. Issue spotting, writing good
analysis and being organized on examinations only comes from practicing with
other tested examinations.
To assist you in your development
of becoming a good test-taker, Bar Made Easy has written and
published an Essay Examination Workbook which includes detailed
instructions on how to study in law school and prepare for your
examinations. Plus, the Workbook provides fifteen (15) essay
examinations from Torts, Contracts and Criminal Law which will allow you to
practice applying your learned knowledge of the law. The essays include
issue spotting checklists and well written model answers. In addition, the
Workbook includes Bar Made Easy’s Ten Step Approach How To Take A
Law School And Bar Essay Examination®.
This is a foolproof, easy to read, step-by-step approach on how to write a
solid exam answer. We suggest students make copies of this well tested
approach and keep it handy for reference when taking practice examinations.
In time, students will be able to apply these important steps automatically
to any examination and truly write a superior answer with confidence.
To assist you in learning the
law, Bar Made Easy has developed a series of books entitled Bar
Made Easy Substantive Outlines and Workbooks. The first subjects soon to
be available are Torts I and Torts II. In addition to the comprehensive
subject outlines, the workbooks include mini-hypothetical examinations and
answers, mnemonics for law retention, checklists of subject issues for issue
spotting and exam organization, detailed inner checklists of testable issues
for structure in writing your answers and a glossary of the subjects’ legal
terms.
All examinations whether for law
school or for the bar examination test the students’ ability to apply the
law to the facts. Thus, the application of the law to the facts is the key
to a student’s success on an examination. The Essay Examination Workbook
will help you develop your skill in issue spotting and analyzing the law. By
consistent repetition of breaking apart the issues in an exam the student
will develop an understanding of the law and heighten their analytical
skills. In addition, a model answer is provided for each of the fifteen (15)
essays so that the student can compare their answer with a well written and
attainable one. As mentioned, the Bar Made Easy Substantive Outlines and
Workbooks will provide you with the concise law and issue writing
approaches and checklists that, in conjunction with the Essay Examination
Workbook, will insure your law school and bar examination success!
Both of these books are a must
